So, when you think of cravings, you usually think of pregnant women and their psychotic desire to have pickles and ice cream, or a chalupa from Taco Bell at 2 am, right? Well, let me tell you...I am not pregnant, but I have a strange craving. I've been seriously craving some cardio!!! lol I would LOVE to start running again, but it's just too stinking cold lately. My throat and lungs feel like they're frozen after about 10 minutes in the garage, let alone going for a run around the neighborhood. I might just have to bite the bullet and get (or make) a scarf I can wrap around my mouth so I can breathe.
This morning I made due with jumping rope for about 5 minutes. That was a fiasco in itself. My jump rope broke after the first few 'revolutions' if you will. I went back inside and grabbed Michael's jump rope and used it for the rest of the time. After it got stuck on my shoes a few, well, 8 or 10 times, I stopped. I jump rope better in bare feet, and it's too cold for that right now!!! For me anyways. After I finished that, I did some jumping jacks. Don't know how many, but I did it for one full song. By that time I was kinda sucking wing, and my throat/lungs felt like ice cubes. Enough of this crap, I'm going back inside!!! lol But I got a quick fix.
Anyhoo...lunch is almost done...

First day...
And I'm already cheating! Not really bad...but still. We had lunch catered in because our city did really well last month. There were sandwich wraps offered, and instead of taking a 'meaty' one, I took the veggie one. Well, there was cheese on it. And I didn't even notice it until the first half of the thing was 3/4 gone!!! I only ate the one half of it...so I guess it's not that bad...Michael can eat the rest. lol
We're heading to our reception hall tonight to put the second deposit down! Yay! 89 days to go...I can't wait!! I still need to call our music director at the church to set up an appointment and to make sure we can use the music we want, need to call the limo company and the photographer too to set up payment arrangements with them. Crap...I need to order a photo to put in the frame for the rehearsal dinner!!! Aah!!! The 3 month crunch starts...I so hope we can get the majority of the stuff done well before the wedding. I don't want to be ripping Michael's head off for absolutely no reason...pray for me (well, US!!!).

I can't wait for spring!!!
Ok...I love winter, love the snow, love the crispness in the air...don't really care for the cold much unless it's accompanied by snow, but still love it!!! I just can't wait for more warm weather so I can start running again. I wouldn't mind doing it in the cold, I just don't want to fall and break a leg or something on the ice!
I had my first dress fitting on Thursday, and I'm so stinking excited about my dress. Can't go into detail though because Michael reads my blogs! :-) Invites have to go out by the end of next month, and we're putting our second deposit down on the hall tomorrow! Yay! Can't wait!!!
Last night, Michael and I boarded the S.S. St. Anastasia St. Valentine Dinner Cruise. It was a lot of fun! It was put on by a group at our church that does a program called 'Marriage: God's Love Made Visible'. We started off at the church, and went all the way to Hawaii!!! lol There was really good food, some fun games, and fantastic desserts! Good thing I'm revamping my eating habits starting this week! I NEED IT!!! The best part of the entertainment was provided by the pastor and associate pastor...see the video here.
We're down to 90 days now! Yay!!! I am so glad that Michael and I were brought together. I'm thankful for all of our happiness, our struggles, and our love for each other. I know that God sent us on the paths we traveled and brought us to each other for great reasons!

Making some changes.
This morning, I decided I was going to make some changes in order to maintain myself until the wedding. By that I mean maintain my health and my weight. Back when I was living in my apartment, I was up at the crack of dawn to work out, and had pretty much taken on a 'raw' food...regime...if you would. I was eating mainly only fruits and vegetables, with the occasional eggs and toast in the morning, and pasta or chicken at night. I would snack on tortilla chips or wheat thins also, but a bag of chips or box of crackers would last me a few weeks. I stuck pretty strictly to suggested serving sizes when I would eat anything that wasn't fruits or veggies. Well, I really need to get back to that...so here's what I decided, starting this Sunday:
1) No more coffee - I started drinking it again recently mixing cocoa with it. It was really yummy with raspberry cocoa!!!
2) No more tea - I don't drink it very often, so it won't be too hard.
3) No more chocolate - Again, I don't have it very often, so it won't be hard. Besides, milk chocolate makes me break out, so I usually have dark chocolate (yumm!), or white chocolate which is really candy.
4) No more candy - Help me Lord with this one!!! I LOVE those little candy hearts they have for Valentine's Day...and heath bars, sprees, sweet tarts, fruit slices, spearmint life savers, skittles, twizzlers...anything fruity really. I am still allowing myself gum though.
5) No more snacking - I don't really do it very often (sounding like a broken record now), but snacking at night is my weakness...chips or popcorn at oh, 8 or so, especially when watching American Idol...yeah...gotta stop.
I've already started getting back into the habit of getting up and working out in the morning. Right now, it's 3 times a week but I want to get back to 5 days, Monday through Friday. I felt SO MUCH BETTER when I was eating right and exercising. I also need to start getting to bed earlier. I need to be in bed by 9 every night, and that hasn't been happening. Time to get my butt in gear!!! My motivation...I have a size 6 wedding gown that I have to fit into in 93 days!!! LOL That, and I look at old pics of me even from about 4 or 7 years ago and I don't like what I see. I wasn't huge, but I could have looked a lot better.
Wish me luck!!!

It's...So...CLOSE!!!
3 MORE MONTHS!!!!! It's so stinkin close I can almost FEEL it!!! I have my first dress fitting tomorrow (Yay!), and I'm having all the girls over in March to work on the centerpieces! Yay!!! The shower is right around the corner, and the invites have to go out NEXT MONTH!!! I can't wait!!!
Now to the not-so-fun stuff...kind of. I've decided to start up my PartyLite business a little sooner than originally planned. Like 3 months sooner. It's going to be VERY stressful for the next 3 months with wedding plans, RCIA, occasionally subbing for Catechism, along with PartyLite, but I can do it. I know I can, and I want to. I just hope I can actually qualify in February!!! AAAH!!!
Other not-so-fun stuff...and this is the really not-so-fun. I get to go to an oral surgeon and have my bottom 2 wisdom teeth removed. Yeah, the top 2 came out in high school. The bottom ones were growing in the right direction but were kind of growing around the nerve so they didn't want to touch them. Oh well...from what I hear, it's much worse the older you get. When my top 2 came out, I missed one day of school (I think...cause I had the surgery on Thursday), and found out the hard way that I'm allergic to Codeine. Now, I'm afraid that I'm going to have to miss work...that's gonna suck especially with all of the changes that are going on here!
This will all work out though. I have Faith!!! I may be getting in over my head right now with the whole PartyLite thing, but I know God will guide me through it. Michael will be there to help too :-)
Anyhoo...lunch is almost over...

Another good song
There's a song that I've heard on the radio a few times that just strikes me. It's called "In Color" by Jamey Johnson. And let me tell you...the guy looks NOTHING like I pictured!!! lol
The part that gets me the most goes like this:
A pictures worth a thousand words
But you can't see what those shades of gray keep covered
You should've seen it in color.
The reason I think that kind of gets to me is because I absolutely LOVE black & white photography. It seems to have such a pure image, conveys so much, but leaves so much to the imagination!!! I love it.
A couple photos for "comparison":
The bar at Bru Bar & Hostel in County Cork, Ireland.

Kinsale City, Ireland.

Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin, Ireland.

The veggie plate at moms 2008 Christmas Party.

Might not work as well with buildings, landscapes, or even vegetables...but you get the idea! lol
I have some better pics in black & white, but they aren't digital...oh well.

It's official...
I am officially a peon. Not that I care...but there are 6 people in my department at work, and 4 have offices, while me and my counterpart are in the cubicle farm all alone! Oh well, like I said, I don't care. Today is way too quiet though. I'm the only one in the cubicle farm!!! My counterpart has the day off. I can jam the music though, so that's ok! hahaa My brain feels like mush from the last few weeks here, and it's hard to concentrate on anything really.
This weekend, Cletus and I are going to Kinde. We haven't been there in what seems like forever, but I think it's only been a couple of months. There's a wild game dinner tomorrow night and I'm really looking forward to it!
On the wedding front...I have my first dress fitting (YAY!!!!) on February 12th, and I'm excited but dreading it at the same time. I put on about 10 pounds over the holidays and haven't managed to shed more than 3 or 4 pounds of that off...grr... Time to get back to my fruits and veggies like I was doing before, and back to exercising on a daily basis. I was doing really good with that when I was living in my apartment, but as soon as I moved into the house, it all went out the window. Living with someone that has such different eating habits, and such a high metabolism is really a test of your will power...time to get mine in check!!! Back on track now...I'm planning on having all of my girls and the moms over to work on getting the ribbons on the candles, and creating the floral rings for the centerpieces. I absolutely love how the first one turned out, and can't wait to see how the other color combinations go!!! Oh yeah...and trying to put together a candle ring with individual flower stems...disaster. It's not going to happen. Cletus and I went back to the store (yes, Cletus went to a craft store with me, what a guy!!!), and I got 16 more vines so I will have enough to make them all out of those instead of those pesky individual flowers!
Anyhoo...I get a long lunch today, and I'm going to screw around for the rest of it!

Another sad day...
So today I found out that another co-worker of mine is leaving the company. Granted, I don't see her every day because she works in our Chicago office, but still!!! I will miss her a LOT, and hopefully we will be able to keep in touch...
That makes three people in the last...what...six months that have left, four in the last eight months or so that I was pretty close with. IT SUCKS!!! My sanity is leaving, and so are my "buffers"...time to tough it out on my own I guess...

~~LOVE THE CENTERPIECES~~
Ok, so my mom and I went shopping yesterday to figure out stuff for the centerpieces. I had a good feeling before we left, but I had no idea it would go as well as it did!!! I got so many ideas, and so much to work with now...gonna be fun! Now, I just need to get all of the girls together so we can get the candles wrapped, and the rings made...check out the pics!
This is a pic of the complete "purchase" yesterday...minus the guest book and garter **giggle**.

We're using standard 12" square mirror tiles in the center of the table. A plain white doily will be placed under the candle to help prevent wax from getting on the mirror.

Now, I bought some regular bunches of flowers:

And some vines in white, dark purple, light purple and gray-blue:

Along with this fun star garland!!!

Here's the first round (yes...I put aluminum foil on top of our dvd spinner, he already called me a nerd lol)...

And a shot with one strand of the star garland:

I can't wait to see how the rest of them turn out...especially the ones that are made out of the individual flowers! Lots of crafty days for me ahead!!!

I have a good feeling...
Today, my mom and I will be going to two stores looking for centerpiece stuff. I have the main part of the centerpiece already figured out (a 3X7 pillar candle wrapped with a lilac and a silver ribbon), just need to get a mirror, and something to add substance! I have a very good feeling that we will find the perfect piece to finish the whole look! Yay!!!

You know something???
In the process of preparing my blog for my friends' story, I found out that some fellow parishioners at my church may be visiting my blog. I had decided that I would attempt to "clean up" some of the posts, but then again, that would take away from the character of the blog itself!!! Having said that...if you venture farther into my blog then just the first page, and you are offended by anything, I whole-heartedly apologize. Also, feel free to leave me your comments on any story you may read here. I LOVE to hear what everyone has to say!

I have an idea!!!
I know I've posted about this before, but it's still super annoying! Here's my idea. Why don't we just change the speed limit on every single road, including freeways/expressways/highways to 35 mph? It seems that just about everyone in the lovely state of Michigan is already STUCK at that speed forcing everyone that wants to drive the speed limit - be it 45 or 55 mph - to drive 35. OR...make every road at least 2 lanes in each direction. Highly unlikely, but hey...I can dream!!! lol

Coming soon...
I have a good friend that deserves to be in the spotlight for a bit. Hopefully I'll be able to post his story very soon, so keep your eyes open! :-) There might be a couple more to follow after his, but his will definitely be first.
Today, I'm going to David's to pick up my sisters' bridesmaid dresses, and I'll be trying on bridesmaid dresses for my girlfriends wedding as well. My mom will also be there trying on mother's dresses for my wedding. Should be good times! Oh yeah...and Cletus is outside shoveling the extra 4" of snow we got last night after he had already shoveled 3"!!!

Malfunction in Human
I got this in an email from the DRE (Director of Religious Education) at my church. It's a pretty good read!
RECALL NOTICE: The Maker of all human beings (GOD) is recalling all units manufactured, regardless of make or year, due to a serious defect in the primary and central component of the heart.
This is due to a malfunction in the original prototype units code named Adam and Eve, resulting in the reproduction of the same defect in all subsequent units.
This defect has been technically termed 'Sub-sequential Internal Non-Morality,' or more commonly known as S.I.N., as it is primarily expressed.
Some of the symptoms include:
1. Loss of direction
2. Foul vocal emissions
3. Amnesia of origin
4. Lack of peace and joy
5. Selfish or violent behavior
6. Depression or confusion in the mental component
7. Fearfulness
8. Idolatry
9.Rebellion
The Manufacturer, who is neither liable nor at fault for this defect, is providing factory-authorized repair and service free of charge to correct this defect.
The Repair Technician, Jesus, has most generously offered to bear the entire burden of the staggering cost of these repairs. There is no additional fee required.
The number to call for repair in all areas is: P-R-A-Y-E-R. Once connected, please upload your burden of SIN through the REPENTANCE procedure. Next, download ATONEMENT from the Repair Technician, Jesus, into the heart component.
No matter how big or small the SIN defect is, Jesus will replace it with:
1. Love
2. Joy
3. Peace
4. Patience
5. Kindness
6. Goodness
7. Faithfulness
8. Gentleness
9. Self control
Please see the operating manual, the B.I.B.L.E. (Believers' Instructions Before Leaving Earth) for further details on the use of these fixes.
WARNING: Continuing to operate the human being unit without correction voids any manufacturer warranties, exposing the unit to dangers and problems too numerous to list and will result in the human unit being permanently impounded. For free emergency service, call on Jesus.
DANGER: The human being units not responding to this recall action will have to be scrapped in the furnace. The SIN defect will not be permitted to enter Heaven so as to prevent contamination of that facility. Thank you for your attention!
- GOD
P.S. Please assist where possible by notifying others of this important recall notice, and you may contact the Father any time by 'Knee Mail'.
Kudos to whoever wrote this!!!

This song...
This song helps to keep me grounded sometimes. Every time it comes on my play list, I just sit and listen...
Destiny's Child
Gospel Medley: You've Been So Good/Now Behold the Lamb/Jesus Loves me
Thank you, Lord, Hallelujah
You've been so good to me
Thank you, Lord, Hallelujah
I'm grateful for my blessings
I'm grateful for my struggles
Trials and tribulations
I've been through
I've realized no one can love like You do
Thank you, Lord, Hallelujah
I feel your presence near
Thank you, Lord, Hallelujah
I won't hold back my tears
I gave You my trust
And You took me out of the dark rain
My Lord, I survived it
I give You the praise
Lord, You've been so good
You've been so good to me
I'm so grateful for my blessings
Giving you all the praise
Lord, You've been so good
You've been so good to me
I'm so grateful for my blessings
Giving you all the praise
Jesus loves me, oh yes, He does
Jesus loves me, oh yes, He does
Jesus loves me, oh yes, He does
For the Bible tells me
So, so, my Jesus loves me
I know he does
Amen, amen, amen, amen
Amen, amen, amen, amen
It's a really powerful song...in my opinion! I love it!

Wow, it's getting close!!!
So, today was the Betrothal Ceremony at church. We went to the 12:15 mass, and all (well, most) of the engaged couples in the parish were there to receive a blessing and to be prayed over. At one point they had us turn and face our soon-to-be husband or wife, and look each other in the eyes as they prayed for us. It was such an incredible feeling. It felt so right...so REAL, and I think I finally realized that this is really happening. It's one thing to be putting deposits down on reception halls, flowers, DJ's, limo's and all that...but to be standing in front of an entire parish, in the sanctuary, staring into the eyes of the one that you're about to promise yourself to for life...wow. It felt amazing!!! I got a little teary a couple of times, and so did Michael. I was picturing us standing there: me in my gown, him in his tux, reciting our vows and it hit me. This is the man I'm going to spend the rest of my life with. The one I will start my own family with. The one I will share all of me with. I haven't felt that happy...ever. Then, him being the goof ball he is, started winking at me. He's so silly. :-)
Wednesday, we headed to Target to start registering. When we got there, they explained to us what to do to get started. Once we were done with the first part, we headed back over to the service desk to get our scanner. The girl gave us a little "pouch" that had suggestions of items to register for, along with a couple of coupons, and the tickets to include in the invitations. It was fantastic! They were so helpful, and we were done within a couple of hours. I printed the registry off on Thursday when I went to work so we have a record of it. Then, Friday, we went to Sears to register also. Let me tell you...it was a pain in the butt!!! The first lady we talked to, just said "Go upstairs, the gift registry is in the children's department". We headed upstairs and went to the first counter we saw (not even realizing that we had just walked past the computer that is used to start the registry). When we got to the counter, the conversation went something like this:
Guy 1: Can I help you?
Me: Yes, we need to create a wedding registry.
Guy 1: How many items to you need to add.
Me: I don't know, we haven't started yet.
Guy 1: Did you already go through the steps on the computer?
Me: No, we need to start one. We haven't started one yet.
Guy 1: Oh, well go over there and put all your information in, and we'll add the items for you.
Me: So when we're done with this, are we going to get tickets or something to include in the invitations?
Guy 1: They will have to pull up your information online to see your registry.
Hmm...o...k...So we go over to the computer and start the registry. Putting in name, address, blah, blah, blah. We printed out the sheet and took it back to the guy at the counter. The next conversation went something like this:
Guy 1: Let me call someone who knows how to do this.
He gets on the phone and talks to someone about how to work the scanner (it obviously wasn't working properly for him), and another guy comes over to the counter. He gets the scanner working and:
Guy 1: They want to know if they'll get tickets or something to include in the invitations.
Guy2: No, they will have to log in to your registry to view it.
Me: Ok, but do we get something to include in the invitations to let people know that we're registered here?
Guy 2: No, they have to log in to it.
Me: O...K...
So we took the scanner and headed out. The first 10 minutes we felt like we were in the clearance department or something. We started scanning things, and before we knew it we were getting a message on the scanner saying something like "Non registry-eligible item scanned". Hmm...try it again. Same message. Oh well, moving on. We got that message 5 or 6 times throughout the night. It was annoying...along with a couple of "Item not found" or "No price found" messages. We wound up with 6 or 7 things that we couldn't scan and add. The last message was the best though..."Thank you for adding your items. Your registry has been updated." Now, this was AS WE WERE SCANNING an item to add. Ok, screw it...we're done. We headed back to the cash register again with the scanner:
Guy 1: All set?
Us: Sure, we guess.
Guy 1: Ok, your registry should be available online now.
Me: So, we don't get anything to put into the invitations to let people know we're registered here?
Guy 1: I don't think so, but let me check with her (another employee).
He called the lady over and said: Do they get anything with their registry?
Lady: No, just this.
Me: So no tickets? (By now I probably sound anal, but it just makes sense!!!)
Lady: No, we used to do that but they stopped for some reason.
Me: Ok, so how do we let people know we're registered here?
Lady: You'll have to give them your user name and password, and they'll just log into your registry.
OMG YOU'RE KIDDING ME!?!? Ok, fine. So we left the store with a little brochure, and a price ticket with a bunch of things written on that we couldn't add at the store. They have all since been added though. I have also discovered that you don't have to log into OUR registry to view it... Oh well...it was frustrating, and by the time we left the store my feet were killing me, and I was cranky.
We are officially 4 months and 5 days away!!! Yay!!!

YIPPEEE!!!
Ok, now the fun begins!!! Cletus and I are going to register at one of 2 stores tonight, and the other will be done Saturday morning!!! Yay!!! I can't wait!!! We're getting so close now...where has the time gone? It seems like just 6 months ago Cletus popped the question and here we are, 15 months later, and 4 months away from the wedding!!! We're pretty much down to all the nitty gritty details, and that's the fun stuff!
The last couple of days have been fantastic in so many ways. Monday, I went home sick (not that fantastic, right? lol). Well, there was an item on eBay that I wanted for the wedding. It's what I'm using for my hair, and I LOVE IT!!! I actually won it for $9.99 plus $4.99 shipping, and it went out yesterday! I can't wait to get it...one more thing checked off the list! And, it will help with having no more wedding nightmares. lol Yeah...I had one a little while back. I dreamt that I was going to get my hair done, had the veil, but didn't have the other part of the "hair accessories". I'm being vague cause Cletus can't know what it is :-D Now, back to the fantastic-ness...
1) Got the cake picked out, and it's GORGEOUS...I love it...
2) Got my final hair "thing" picked out, and it's on the way
3) We've finally decided on the shower location and date, but it's not reserved yet
4) The rest of the pillar candles are ordered and on the way thanks to my wonderful PartyLite consultant cousin :-)
5) We're registering tonight!!!
6) Got an email from David's that my 2 sisters' bridesmaid dresses are in about 4 weeks early
7) The map sheets that I made up for the invitations are going to work great
8) I'm LOVING the wedding program that I made too...yeah, I'm kind of tooting my own horn lol
Anyways...I gotta get back to work.
Oh yeah, and I have 3 followers now!!! Yay! I'm popular!!! NOT lol Although, I don't know who "Saucy Patients" is...??

Welcome, 2009!!!
The New Year's Eve party was so much fun! There were 8 of us here last night, with maybe just a little too much alcohol. We played euchre for a few hours, switching teams after each game. I think my partner and I really only made it through a game and a half cause we were laughing way too hard most of the time!!! We all stopped playing cards around 11:57, and rang in the new year watching the ball drop on TV. Phone calls were made, text messages were sent, and within an hour and a half, we had an empty house and headed to bed!!! I haven't slept that soundly in a really long time! I didn't get out of bed until 11:45 this afternoon! HA!
Well, now we say good-bye to 2008, and we welcome in a new year, new hopes, new dreams. We say hello to the opportunity to change ourselves in one way or another with the typical New Year's Resolution. More often than not, these resolutions are dropped after the first month or so, but I'm going to do my best to keep mine going for more than just this year.
My hopes for 2009 (in no particular order):
1) that Cletus will either be called back to work, or will find a new job with a little more stability.
2) that my whole family (immediate and extended) will be healthy, happy, and loved by anyone and everyone.
3) that my friend Adam will overcome his fight with cancer, and recover completely.
4) that my mom will find the happiness that she deserves.
5) that our wedding will go off without anything major going wrong!!! lol
6) that Cletus and I will be blessed with 'good news' sometime after the wedding! :-)
7) that my oldest sister will be able to complete her Nursing Program with even more flying colors than she already has.
8) that my brother will be able to accomplish what he needs to faster than he is expecting.
9) that my other sister will also be able to do well in school.
10) that my step-mom will get better, completely.
11) that this wonderful country will be able to pull out of this economic slump.
12) that my car won't die!! lol
Now, for my New Year's resolutions...yes, more than one. This year, I will get back into my exercise routine. I stopped doing it when I moved out of my apartment and into the house at the end of August. I know I can do it, I just need to drag my butt out of bed in the morning!!! I will also do my best to understand other people's situations before I take things personally, and I will work harder at work.
I can do all of this! I know it!!! Now that it's in writing...I have to!!! lol
Happy New Year everyone. May this year be more positive for you than last year.
God Bless
~Peanut
"I do think New Year's resolutions can't technically be expected to begin on New Year's Day, don't you? Since, because it's an extension of New Year's Eve, smokers are already on a smoking roll and cannot be expected to stop abruptly on the stroke of midnight with so much nicotine in the system. Also dieting on New Year's Day isn't a good idea as you can't eat rationally but really need to be free to consume whatever is necessary, moment by moment, in order to ease your hangover. I think it would be much more sensible if resolutions began generally on January the second."

Weird dreams...
Do you ever wonder exactly what our dreams mean? Do they really have a meaning, or are they just there? When a dream really strikes me, I wonder. I've heard that it's your sub-conscious acting out things that you would never do, or things that would never really happen...still...I wonder sometimes!!! I've also heard that if you remember the dream(s) you had the night before, it's because you woke up briefly.
For example, I had a very strange dream last night. If dreams have meanings, I have a pretty good idea now what this one means to me, but who knows for sure, right??? In this dream, I was shopping at a mall somewhere...no idea where though. I got kidnapped by my ex-boyfriends younger brother, some girl, and one other guy. I couldn't tell who they were though. I somehow managed to get away from them when they got in an elevator. I made my way through the store I was in and into the parking lot where my mom was standing. I tried to call my fiance, but he didn't pick up, and I told my mom I needed to find my car and leave right away. She tried to ask me a bunch of questions like 'why', 'what's going on', 'are you ok?'. So I told her again in a not so nice way that I needed to find my car and leave NOW. Then, my ex of 4 1/2 years comes out of nowhere and gives me the keys to his car pointing out where he had parked. Next thing I know, my car, being driven by (I'm guessing) someone that had some idea what was going on comes around the corner towards me, my mom, and my ex, but I still had my keys in my hand. My mom was standing between me and the car, so I was hoping they wouldn't notice/recognize/realize that it was me standing there. After they drove by, I started walking across the parking lot towards my ex's car, again trying to call my fiance. I got in, and as soon as I closed the door and locked it, someone (the 2nd guy from the kidnapping) was standing outside of the driver side door with a crowbar, and my car was now sitting behind me with someone else driving. He broke the window, pushed me into the passenger seat, and got in. My car sped away, and I woke up.
How weird is that??? It gives me the heebie jeebies just thinking about it...Oh, blogger shrinks...what do you think???
On a much happier note, we now have a location for the wedding shower!!! Yay!!!

Merry Christmas!!!
Last night, Cletus and I went to the Midnight Mass at church. It was amazing. The choir and band were incredible, the mass was nothing shy of wonderful... We opened our presents when we got home at 1:45 this morning!!! Good times :-)
When I got on my computer this morning and checked myspace, I saw this blog post from my cousin. He is stationed overseas right now, fighting for this wonderful country's freedom...
"Merry CHRIST-mas
hey yall... i just want to take this opportunity here to remind everyone of why this holiday, IS, in the first place... Jesus Christ our Lord and savior was born on this day... the only presents given Him were gold, frankinsence, and murr (spelling?) kingly gifts if u ask me... sure its fun to get presents... more stuff to have, more goodies to eat, thats all great, but my friends, everyone seems to forget this day for what it is... everyone gets caught up in the holiday hussle and bussle of "gotta get this for her and gotta get that for him" but really... on your birthday, who is the party for? who does everyone come to see? who gets all the attention and love and gifts?... you do because that is your day... your birthday... i feel sorrow for Jesus on this day each year, because everyone is so hyped up on themselves and their families that they forget Him all together... im not saying every single person forgets this every year... the word holiday actually means "Holy Day" the most Holiest day of the year if you ask me... or at least it should be anyways... i woke up this morning and i said "happy birthday jesus"... i didnt have snow, or trees, or anything like that to wake up to... no partys or get togethers to be at... but as a soldier away from home on christmas for the 3rd year in a row i have come to level with Jesus on this day, i feel for him... i throw my own little "happy birthday jesus party" and try to spend as much time as i can with him all day... dont get me wrong, i would love nothing less than to be home with my family and my girlfriend of 7 months on this family oriented day... i guess after all that i just ask that everyone just take a moment today and tell Jesus you love him and that you remember him on HIS DAY...
To all my family and friends back home on this wonderful Christmas day, I love you all very much, I wish you all to have fun and be happy and rejoice, "for this is the day that the lord has made, i will rejoice and be glad in it." Once again i wish i was home but yall know why im not... im out workin hard... love you all each and every one of you and make sure you pass the love on to others... Merry Christmas, see you in march :D"
I think he hit it right on with that one :-)

Wednesday was a sad day...
Wednesday at work, I, along with the rest of my department, found out that my boss will be leaving the company at the end of December. This man was there when I started with this company in 2004. He interviewed and hired me. When I started, our department had only been about 4 people, and was built over the last 4 years into a very well oiled (9 person, now 6 person) machine. This man has been there for me through some very trying times personally and professionally. He was a HUGE mentor to me...something I will never forget. He listened to my problems and gave me fantastic advice. I hope he will make it to the wedding in May!!!
A few years ago, I was dealing with a somewhat difficult decision in regards to a relationship I was in. I had started dating a guy too soon after I broke up with someone else, and was extremely unhappy. I had shared many stories with my boss about the whole situation, and he gave me ideas on how to talk to my boyfriend, and how to try to work things out if that was what I really wanted. What it made me realize though, was that I wasn't really in that relationship after 6 months. I had already moved in with him because I thought I could make it work, and I needed a place to stay. My boss helped me realize that I could make it on my own so my decision to move out of my boyfriends house was solidified. I was scared to death, and was in tears a few times when I talked to my boss about it. When my first paycheck got deposited into my bank account after I got my own place, and I realized I still had money to spare, I knew I would be ok. I have shared a lot of my wedding plans with him, and he tells me about how his wife was when they got married. My boss has seen me in so many different emotional states...I don't like crying in front of co-workers, let alone my boss...but he has helped me so many times, and in so many ways. He is a very easy person to talk to, and I will never forget what he has done for me. He has helped mold me into the person I am today, and I love the person that I am now. I don't settle. I know what I want now, and I'm not as afraid to stand up for myself and what I believe in. If it wasn't for this man, our department wouldn't be able to function the way it does. We have great people, great skills, and a great overall team. He will be greatly missed...
Thank you, for all that you have done for me. You may never really know how much you have impacted my life. I will miss you.

Butts are funny.
I don't really make it a habit of looking at the butts of people that are in front of me, but sometimes, you just can't help but notice! They look so different, and move so different! I was walking at work the other day, and just glanced at the person in front of me and started to chuckle, thinking "butts are funny". Then I decided it would be a good title for a blog. :-)

I love my car!
Ok, honestly, I can't wait to get a 4 wheel drive vehicle, but I love my little green machine! Today, we got about 8" of snow in a matter of about 6 hours. There was about 4" when I left for work, and that was fun to begin with, but it was nothing compared to the drive home! People were getting stuck in the parking lot trying to leave...the snow was up to the bumpers of the majority of the 'little' cars there. I helped push one of the guys out while wearing my 4" chunky heeled boots (wasn't really that bad). Then, when it was my turn, I called to one of the other ladies that helped and said 'watch this!' I backed up about 3", and hit the gas...rolled right out of my parking space. Spun the tires a bit, but I made it! Then, pulling into the subdivision, there was all that fun 'main road has been plowed but the side streets haven't been' snow. Powered right through it. I'm so glad I have front wheel drive... I love snow!!!
Anyhoo...it's been a while since I blogged, and I have a few things in the works...there will be more soon. I hope.

This sucks
Ok, let's see how much I can type in the next 6 minutes...
It's happening again. The stress is starting to come back. I'm not going to give details, but I will say this. Part of what's contributing to the stress SUCKS big time and I feel like I'm stuck with it. Other parts (wedding planning and Cletus) are peachy. I can't wait for this all to be over, however, I'm enjoying the planning immensely.
I just need to remind myself of the good things I have in my life:
I have my faith.
I have a man who loves me with all his heart, and will be my husband in just over 5 months.
I have my family...and his!!!
I have a roof over my head (which I LOVE-I don't want to move out of that house for a really long time).
I have a job...
I have a car that gets me from A to B when needed even if it does have 113,000 miles on it now (and it's only 7 years old).
I have a paycheck coming in every 2 weeks.
I have a full belly when needed, food on the table, a bed to sleep in, and clothes to keep me warm.
What's stressing me out now seems pretty petty against all of that...

Well, you don't say!!!
So, they finally announced that we're in a recession. A deep recession that's going to last a long time. IT TOOK THEM LONG ENOUGH to admit what everyone already knew. Time to grab on to something and hang on tight. It's gonna be a not so fun financial ride... I'll keep my Faith and believe that everything will work out for us though. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of the families that are already struggling to make ends meet.

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas!!!
So, now Thanksgiving day has passed...and what fun it was!!! I love getting together with my family every year for our Thanksmas party. It's always fun. There is never a dull moment with us.
Thanksgiving morning, when Cletus and I stopped at his uncles house, I noticed a screw in his tire. We went to a few gas stations and a RiteAid trying to find some Fix-A-Flat. Finally found some, and were on our way. Stopped at my dads house to grab something for my step-mom that they had forgotten and headed back to the expressway. A little while later, I got a call from my brother. He was about 3 minutes behind us and asked us to slow up a little so he could have a 'travel partner' since he was having issues with his vehicle. We wound up riding about half the way with him following us. Once we got to g-ma and g-pas, the fun got started!!! We hung out for a while, had a fantastic dinner, and then did our grab bag gift exchange. It seems there's always one or two things that get stolen and passed between hands multiple times. This year it was a calendar with all of the birthdays and anniversaries of the family. After that, about 10 of us sat down to play Fill or Bust. This game is AWESOME!!! I highly recommend it to anyone. Around 8 we headed to Cletus' parents house for the night. It's soooooooooo relaxing up there!!!
Saturday afternoon, we headed back down to get ready for the costume party we were supposed to go to. He went as Moses, and I went as Peg Bundy. It was alright, but I wasn't feeling that great so we didn't stay long. I couldn't get my hands on a wig, so I had to make do with my own hair (which NEVER cooperates....)

Today, we got the Christmas tree and all the decorations down from above the garage. Luckily, it's not an all day adventure when it comes to Christmas decorations. The tree takes the longest. It's a 7' "realistic" tree, so there are a lot of branches to fluff and place. Let alone the way I put the lights on it. I like lots of lights, which means each layer gets a few 'rounds' of lights before the next layer gets put on. All in all it takes about 1.5 to 2 hours to set up. I love this time of year!!!

Merry Christmas everyone!!!

Yet Another Update
This post is going to be pretty much a mish-mosh of stuff. I don't want to do 3, 4 or 5 separate posts, so it might be a little long!
So on Saturday I let you all know that we have a florist. I'm very excited to see what the flowers all look like together!!! I'm so, so, so glad that we didn't have to make too many changes to them to reach a tolerable price. However...after finalizing everything, I remembered that we're going to have a cantor (singer), and two people doing readings that should have boutonnieres or corsages. Well, we will have to come up with something for them.
On Monday night, Cletus and I went downtown (not too far from the florist actually), to find out about tuxedos for the guys. Cletus tried on a few different jackets and decided on a very nice jacket and vests. The guys will officially be wearing silver herringbone patterned vests and ties. He tried everything on (pants and all), and it looked fantastic! Honestly...he looked yummy when he put on his vest and tie. So here's the rundown...Cletus will be wearing a white herringbone vest and tie, the guys will be wearing the silver herringbone vest and tie, and the dads will have black herringbone vest and tie. He made an appointment for all of them to go in within the next few months to get sized and order everything! I'm getting so stinking excited!!! I did take pictures, but I don't want to spoil it. :-)
Tomorrow morning, we leave for my family Thanksmas (Thanksgiving and Christmas) party!!! It's so much fun when we all get together. I'm just bummed that my oldest sister won't be able to be there because she has to work. Either way, its going to be a riot. We will get to see my youngest cousin...he's only about 6 months old now...and SUCH a cutie pie!!! My aunts, uncles, other cousins, brother, sister, dad, step-mom, and grandparents (of course!) will all be there. I can't wait! The wedding in May is going to be the biggest party of the year because of how crazy we all get when we're together. Add in Cletus' family...and it's all over... After the Thanksmas party, Cletus and I will be heading to his parents for Thanksgiving. It's always good times when we go there. It's so relaxing too...which is very much needed at this point!!!
Saturday....now that's when the REAL party gets going!!! We're going to our second costume party together. Last year the theme of the party was heroes and villains. I went as super girl (see pictures on myspace), and Cletus went as Jason. This year, the theme is 'favorite tv or movie character. He is going as Moses (who'da thunk it?), and I will be attempting to pull off Peggy Bundy...yeah, we'll see how well that goes...hahaa
Anyways...I hope you all have a fantastic Thanksgiving tomorrow!!!

We Have a Florist!
Yay! One more check mark on the to-do list! We went for a second appointment this morning with the florist down town. Really, it was my third time there, but our second time meeting with the designer. We managed to knock the price down enough to make it tolerable. The only thing we changed were the bouquets for the girls. Eliminating the second white flower dropped almost $50 off!!! I'm excited to see how everything turns out. I'm sure it will be beautiful!
I took a couple of days off this week from work, and it's been fantastic. I slept in until 8 on Thursday, didn't really do diddly squat all day...I screwed around on my computer until about 1:30, did the dishes, and worked on my grab bag gift for Thanksgiving weekend...which can be done from the comfort of my own couch. I think that's all I really did...can't remember!!! lol Yesterday, I woke up to a phone call from my niece at about 7 am. She had a splinter in her foot and couldn't get it out. I talked her through it, and went back to sleep for about 30 minutes. When I got up, I hopped on my computer for a couple of hours, then got going. Took my shower and started cleaning the house. I stripped Cletus' bed and threw the sheets in the washer, tackled the bathrooms, swept the floors, and sat down for a quick break. This is is when it gets interesting. I'm sitting on the couch in the living room with the picture window in front of me when I see a guy walk through the front yard (about six feet from the window) with a big ass 10' extension ladder. Now...I'm home alone...and there's a guy (a big guy) walking across my front yard with a ladder. It kinda freaked me out! No big deal though. He was a utility guy and was gone within 10 minutes. I cranked the music back up for a bit, finished some more cleaning, and made Cletus' bed.
Anyhoo...I'm gonna get back to my addiction...

Today has been strange...
I woke up this morning (not very easily), got up and started getting ready for work. I kept thinking to myself "woohoo! only a half day today!" No...I don't have a half day today, and why I thought I did is beyond me...all I know is that I have tomorrow and Friday off. Yay! Those two extra days are very much needed, and I'm hoping to get a lot done.
Now back to why today has been strange...I woke up in a decent mood, but felt weird for some reason. I felt really good after Catechism on Monday, and RCIA last night so maybe it has something to do with church. Or, maybe it has something to do with the fact that I'm about to have a four day weekend!!! Either way, I woke up in a pretty good mood and just took my time getting ready. I left about 10 minutes later than I really wanted to, but that's no biggie. I got to work, and my mood started to change. Something just felt off when I got in today. Maybe it's everything that's been going on here, but it just felt weird. Now, I just want to go to sleep. It's been a mentally and emotionally draining day. I think I'm going to take a nap tonight when I get home! lol
Gotta get back to it now...lunch is over...

Aren't Kids Great??!
Last night, I was a substitute teacher for the first time! I was teaching 5th grade Catechism at my church. Yes, I was teaching Catechism even though I was JUST baptized in April. It was a lot of fun! I absolutely love kids. They're so innocent, and so incredibly honest. They really are a joy...even when they won't stop talking so loud that people 1/4 mile down the road can hear.
The class I subbed for was only 6 students (thank goodness!!), 4 boys and 2 girls. I'll give you 3 guesses as to who the loud ones were! It was alright though. I didn't mind. I covered probably 98% of what we were supposed to. Considering I'm such a quiet/shy/hate getting in front of 'crowds' kind of person, I was pretty proud of myself! We learned about the sinful tendencies of Americans as a whole, and what good a single random act of kindness can achieve. It's amazing how good you can make someone feel just by saying 'Hi' to them!!! I'll be subbing again in January (at least), it will be for the same class, and I'm already excited! There are five of the six names stuck in my head with faces to match!!! lol That in itself is a huge accomplishment for me...especially after only an hour with them!
I can't wait for tomorrow...it's my Friday!!! Hooray for four day weekends!!!!!! I have no idea what I'm going to do during the day, but I know one thing is for sure. I'M SLEEPING IN!!!!! Hopefully I'll get some more stuff unpacked and put away so the spare room and my closet aren't so full...pray for me!
Anyhoo...RCIA is tonight, so I'm going to church again! :-)

Not the Gumdrop Buttons!!!
I love Shrek. It's such a great movie!!! Cletus and I were watching it last night.
Anyways...the last few days have been, well, interesting to say the least. Tuesday I took a half day at work, Wednesday dragged on like no other. I didn't get to bed until 1:15 am, and Thursday went relatively quick, then yesterday...well...gentlemen, if you don't want to know what it's like to be a woman with really bad menstrual problems, you may not want to read on...
Yesterday sucked. I went to bed around 1 am again Thursday night. Just haven't really been that tired. I was starting to feel a twinge of pain but thought I could just sleep it off. I didn't take my meds cause I figured I would be fine. Boy was I wrong!!! I woke up Friday morning doubled in pain. Got out of bed cause I had to get ready for work. That was a fiasco in itself. I went ahead and took one of my pills even though it had already been 6 hours. I could barely walk because I was so weak, crawled up the stairs to get in the shower, and almost passed out while in the shower, but all I could think about was getting to work on time. That plan changed really fast. I sent a text to a co-worker, made a phone call and went back to bed for 20 minutes. As the morning and the day went on, I started to feel a little better, but was still extremely week and lacking energy. Around 2:30 pm, I started to get a migraine!!! UGH!!! At least I can tell when one is coming on...I wound up leaving work 2 hours early because of that. It totally sucked!!!
Anyhoo. I have a bridal shower to get ready for, so gotta run!

Oh boy...
Am I going to be one sleepy girl tomorrow!!! Er, actually later today. I wasn't really tired until now...and of course my laptop has decided to intermittently FREAK OUT on me. Apparently, it doesn't like being on for 20 hours a day! lol
I'm going to go get 5 hours of sleep now...

Adventures with Baking (and Insulation)
Ok...I love to bake! Cheesecake is my favorite, but I also love to bake cookies, cakes, cupcakes, breads (mmmmmm, lemon loaf!!!). I just don't seem to have the time to bake...However, tonight I decided to use the Betty Crocker Butter Pecan cake mix that I bought at Kroger about two weeks ago. I made some cupcakes with it, just because it's easier for people to take individual portions at work...where the majority of them are going! A couple of years back, I bought some of those little paper cupcake cups because I was almost out and had every intention on making more cupcakes very soon. I accidentally bought these Reynolds Baking Cups. These things are a great invention!!! You don't have to use a cupcake pan, just the aluminum cups on a cookie sheet. They're fantastic...as long as you don't over fill them. I made that mistake. It wasn't too bad, they just aren't "pretty" after they've spilled over a little bit! :-)
All the while, Cletus was upstairs putting more insulation in the attic. There was 6" blown in, but he bought the pink fiberglass rolled stuff to put on top of the blown in stuff. I helped, a little. I handed him the rolls! lol Hopefully that will help keep the upstairs just as warm as the downstairs! Yes, our house is bass-ackwards. The first floor is warmer than the second...oh well though, that's about to change!
On a much more Patriotic note, Happy Veteran's Day!!! I send my utmost respect, love, honor and thanks to the men and women that currently serve, or have served in the past. Without their selfless commitment, and their love of this country, we wouldn't have the freedoms that we do now. God Bless Our Troops...past, present, and future!!!

What a fricken day...
So today, Cletus and I went to help my sister move her and her 3 kids out of house 1 and into house 2. When we got there, my dad, other sister, my aunt and uncle were all there. My brother showed up a little later on and my mom was at house 2 working on cleaning it up a bit. We got to house 1 at 10ish this morning, and didn't get home until about 7:00. It was a loooooong day, but she's probably about 98% moved into her new place! I'm so excited and happy for her!!!
Tomorrow, my mom, my other sister and I are going to David's so that I can get my undergoodies for my wedding dress. That should be fun...I will get to try my dress on again, so I won't complain!!! I also made another appointment with the florist to go in and 'fine tune' some things. That won't happen for a couple of weeks though. We really need to buckle down and get registered, get maps and directions figured out for the invitations, finalize the guest list, and some other random stuff...like figuring out what kind of cake we want! lol
Anyways...I'm pooped...and I think I'm going to go to bed...and it's before 9!

It's all good...
So, I'm alright. For now anyways. I might go to the doc if it ever happens again, but for now, I'm not going to worry about it. Here's what was going on...let the blogger-md's come out!!!
1) I was feeling depressed/useless/unwanted/un-needed for about 2 weeks. No big deal right? Just a frump.
2) I didn't want to go to work for at least a week.
3) I felt like I couldn't do anything right. Letting things slip at work that should never slip etc.
4) I was falling WAY behind at work due to a severe lack of motivation every single day...for 2 weeks straight...
5) My body felt like it just didn't want to work anymore for a couple of days
6) My appetite was no where near where it should have been...
7) It was taking me a lot longer to figure out simple things than it should have. For example, when I was filing yesterday, it took me twice as long as it should have because I couldn't remember the order of the alphabet.
8) I haven't been able to type for squat for the last couple of weeks. Yesterdays post took me almost 15 minutes to type.
9) I was forgetting the regular things like bringing something to work with me, or a discussion I was supposed to have until after the fact. Yeah, the whole lack-of-memory thing runs in the family so I didn't really think anything of it until......
10) I was sitting at home Wednesday night because I just didn't feel right. I started crocheting. I've been crocheting for at least 5 years, probably 6 so I've got the basics pretty down pat. I sat there crocheting for about 45 minutes straight, took a quick break to say something to Hoopah on yahoo messenger, and couldn't figure out the stitch I had been working on when I tried to start again. It freaked me right out. It took about 5 tries before I figured it out again.
11) Oh yeah...I was on the verge of tears at least 5 times a day for the last 2 weeks too...not to mention practically crying myself to sleep on Wednesday night.
Maybe I am doing too much. I don't think I am, but I think that night crocheting on the couch was my body's way of telling me to slow down. I honestly don't think I had a single thought running through my head the whole time. Until I couldn't remember the stitch. Then my brain started swimming...
I'm working full time, planning a wedding (which, hasn't really seemed too bad!), going to RCIA on Tuesday nights, I have volunteered to help stuff bulletins on Saturdays and teach children's Catechism at church on Mondays but I haven't done that yet, and there has been a lot going on within the family that I guess could be contributing, but I just don't see how...I'm doing my darndest to make sure I'm not "involved" if you know what I mean. I also still have a lot of stuff to go through at the house to get organized and put away or ready to sell...
I had a nice chat with my honey last night, and a pretty quiet night over-all after we went to Kohl's and grocery shopping. I think a few low key days is what I needed...what I still need.
Anyhoo...leave your diagnosis!

Ok, I'm getting a little freaked out...
No, it's not about wedding stuff. Just things that have been happening over the last few weeks that have got me thinking. I'm sure it will all be ok and I'll be fine, but it's kind of starting to scare me. I'm probably overreacting and overanalyzing everything...we'll see. I'm going to keep an open mind, and remain positive until I find out otherwise. I'll fill you all in later.

Lost for words...
I don't even know where to begin. I'm sad, and somewhat afraid from how the Presidential election turned out. Obama is a smooth talker and a very intelligent man...but he has no experience, and in my opinion, no right to be in office. Pulling all the troops out of Iraq is not the answer that country needs. I guess we as Americans will have to just wait and see how it all pans out. Putting a (probably monetary) penalty on people that don't have health coverage on their children is just plain ridiculous. There are people that can't afford health care for themselves let alone their kids...and now, he's going to penalize the fact that they don't have money. Higher taxes for small businesses and married couples that make more than $250,000 a year? That's not the answer we need. I heard many people saying they would vote for him for the simple fact that he's black...I also heard that people wouldn't vote for him because he's black. Well, I hope those people that based their vote on the color of his skin know what they were voting for in regards to policies. I hope they can sleep at night knowing that they've just given every woman in America the right to kill their baby before it's born. I hope they can sleep at night knowing they just voted for higher taxes. I hope they can sleep at night knowing that they just voted to get all of the troops out of Iraq before they're ready, and I hope that all those people are prepared to deal with the ramifications of pulling those troops out. It's not going to be pretty, and it honestly scares me. Don't get me wrong, I will be happy to have my family that is over there come home...but our job there is not done. The first thing I'm going to ask people when they start complaining about the direction this country is going is "Who did you vote for?" As long as they have an answer, I'll continue listening to their conversation. If they didn't vote, I won't listen anymore. Plain and simple.
Well, I could go on for a long time on what I feel about Obama being elected, and I CAN bitch about it because I voted...but I won't keep wasting your time.
**EDIT** Don't get me wrong, I am not a racist, and I am proud of our country for being able to elect a man of a mixed racial background. It just goes to prove that we are starting to get past all the racial boundaries that we've been dealing with all these years. It just scares me that we have just elected the first black Muslim to run America...

Election Day!!!
This morning, I left an hour earlier than I normally would for work. When I got to my polling place, the line was wrapped around the side of the building...I thought for sure it was going to take at least 2 hours to complete the process. Well, after standing in line for less than 5 minutes, and reading half a chapter in the book I brought with me, a volunteer came out and said "If anyone is positive that you're voting in precinct 'x', please go inside and go through the doors on the right.' SWEET!!! Once I got inside, I was still in line, but only behind about 15 people instead of 200. I was done within a matter of 10 minutes once I got inside the building. It was fantastic! I was still early to work even though I went off my normal route by about 4 miles to vote! It was great. Now, I'll be watching the results like a hawk for the hour that I have at home between work and RCIA.
Now, when I say I've exercised my right, I'm talking about my hard earned right to vote as a woman. Since women have only been "allowed" to vote since 1920, I feel very privileged, and will do my best to make it to any and all Presidential elections as possible. I know my vote counts and always will. Sometimes though, it's hard to see how one measly little person can make such a difference in the world. Back when Kerry was running, I voted for him. Every person that I talked to voted for Kerry...and I mean EVERY PERSON, yet Bush still won the election. That year I told myself I would never vote again because 'apparently my vote didn't count.' Wrong. It counts, sometimes it just doesn't turn out the way YOU may have voted for it. Either way, I hope everyone realizes how important it is to get out and vote.
This year, America will have an historical Presidential election, no matter which way it goes. If John McCain gets elected, we will have a female Vice President that will have to take over if something detrimental happens to McCain. If Barack Obama gets elected, we will have the first President of African American descent. However, if Barack Obama gets elected, we will also have the first President that technically might not have been 'able' to run due to the fact that he may be an illegal...hmm.
I personally voted for McCain. I think he's more what this country needs right now. Obama is a smooth talker. That's it. He's an extremely intelligent man, but he dances around the issues rarely giving a straight answer. I want to know your stance. Period. Not how you might tweak things to make it more appropriate, but how you feel about it, and exactly what you're going to do to change it. Don't get me wrong, I don't think either of them really gave to-the-point answers on some of the issues, but I feel that McCain did a better job of saying "this is what needs to happen and this is what I will do". Not to mention the fact that McCain has actual military experience along with leadership experience that should be necessary to running in a Presidential race. Now, don't even get me started on the abortion issue...it's wrong. Which is where at least 80% of my decision came from. Cletus posted It's Election Time on his blog. He actually wrote to the Obama Campaign to ask a question about the abortion topic. You'll notice that they didn't really even answer the question that he asked...
Anyhoo...I hope EVERYONE will make it out to vote today. There really are no excuses. If you don't vote, don't complain about what's going on in this country. Today is your ONE CHANCE to let your voice be heard, and to make your choice on which direction YOU want this wonderful country to move.

Yesterday was FUN!!!
So, Cletus and I had an appointment with a florist in downtown to talk wedding flowers yesterday. My mom, my sis and my niece were there also. We pretty much got all the flowers hashed out so that's all taken care of now! Yippee!!!
My bouquet will consist of these:
My girls will be carrying these:
The guys will have boutonnieres of these:
Cletus' boutonniere will be:

We figured out the corsages for the moms and grandmas as well, but I forgot to write them down! WAH! I'm pretty sure they are calla lilies and white roses.
I also went and had my hair played with yesterday. I officially have my hairstyle figured out, and I LOVE it!!!!!! I can't wait to see the finished product, veil and all!!! I would love to post pictures of that, but a certain someone would see... :-)
