Dear Google,

Please design a way to separate blogs in the reading list. I hate having to "un-follow" a blog because it's the only thing I ever see on said reading list due to 5,000 posts in a 24 hour time frame. Also, if you could add that handy dandy "Dashboard" link in place of the "Design" link when on a blog main page, that would be fabulous too!

Sincerely,
An annoyed blogspot user.

"What's Meant to Be...

Will always find a way"

Just some lyrics from a song that I like. As of late, that's been my mantra. I'm tired of getting excited about something, and being let down. I'm tired of feeling like the "bad guy" because a decision I have made in the past didn't turn out the way I was hoping for. So from now on, this is how I will think:

I will not get overly excited about something before it is already in play.
I will not anticipate things to be the way I hope for them to be.
I will simply let life be life.
I will allow things to happen in God's time. The way God intends for it to happen.

God bless!

Strange Dreams, and an Update

So, last night was another crazy dream night. I don't know what is bringing them on, but man...when they hit, they're CRAZY.

I was riding down the road with a fellow July 2011 mom, her baby boy, my daughter (Justin wasn't there), my mom's ex husband, and one other person that I never saw a face for. These two cars came flying past us on the expressway - a black Hummer (pretty sure it was an H3), and a gray Dodge Charger. The Charger was INCHES from the back bumper of the Hummer. I mean, I couldn't even see between their bumpers. That's how close they were. They got off of the expressway on the same exit as us. The woman driving the charger hopped out of her car when she stopped, and started yelling at whoever was driving the Hummer. Then, for whatever reason, she pulled a gun and turned to us. Came pounding over to our car - I think we were in my car - and told us all to get out. I told her I needed to get my daughter and she said "NO YOU DON'T! JUST LEAVE HER THERE!" She said that to the other mom too. We all clambered out of the car, leaving the two babies there alone. We followed this lady to some sort of apartment where there were 50 other people. One of which had her baby with her. There was no sign of my mom's ex-husband... We were then ushered into this church type setting. I don't know what was going on because I didn't stay there long. I saw my mom's ex walk in with one baby on each hip, and both diaper bags and started sobbing. I think I told the other mom that he was there with our kids, but I don't remember. I pushed my way through the crowd as hard and fast as I could until I got to him. I tried to hug Julia and she acted like she didn't even know me. :-( Then...I woke up. It was so strange...

Now for the update. Yesterday was all veggie day on the detox. I was "allowed" a potato with a little butter for breakfast, then had a bowl of veggies similar to what I used to take to work on a pretty regular basis, and a pretty yummy stir-fry with red/orange/green pepper, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, celery, vedalia onion, garlic, and grape tomatoes. It was pretty tasty, but I wasn't a fan of the tomatoes in there. It was tough, and I'm anxiously awaiting being able to eat bananas tomorrow! LOL!!! Today is day 3. I can eat fruits AND vegetables today, and as of this morning, I'm down three pounds.

That's all for now!

God bless!

What. A. Day.

It's been a pretty busy and tiring day! It started early this morning with Michael moving the bathroom vent. Then, we went to the bank and to our local nursery to get some flowers for the front flower beds. When we got home, all four of us were hanging out in the front of the house - Justin in the stroller, Julia running around, Michael and I working in the flower bed. I pulled weeds and worked up the dirt. Michael followed behind me raking it level. Then...I placed the flowers where I wanted them, and Michael dug the holes. By then, it was lunch time, and Justin was already down for a nap. Michael took Julia inside to give her some lunch, and I planted all of the flowers. After I got everything put away, I went back inside and had some lunch, then grabbed a not so quick shower. We all got dressed and headed off to church! When we got home, we had dinner, then headed out to the back yard, figured out where the rows were going to be, and got to planting! We now have peas, beans, cucumbers, carrots and squash in the ground. I also have tomatoes and peppers in cups inside. I started them pretty late, so they're pretty small. We'll see how successful those are this year. Oh...and somewhere in all of that...we did 3 loads of laundry! I am whooped, but I will still probably be up until 10:00 reading my book!

Today, I started a week long detox. A lot of people are calling it a diet (technically...it is called a diet), but it's not. At least not in my eyes! It's already been somewhat challenging...but I'm up for it! Today was "all fruit (no bananas) day. For breakfast I had a grapefruit, some watermelon, and a few strawberries. A.M. snack was an apple and half of an avocado (yes, it's technically a fruit), lunch was watermelon, cantaloupe, and pineapple. Dinner was yet more watermelon, cantaloupe, raspberries, and one very unripe kiwi. I didn't eat the whole thing. P.M. snack (so far) has been a large handful of grapes. I want some tortilla chips SO bad...but I can do this!

Tomorrow...bring on the vegetables!!!

Sorry for the big jumbled mess of a post. I'm sleepy!

God bless!

"ABC's"

Julia has a slight obsession with "ABC's". We have those little foam letters for the bath tub and whenever she hears the water turn on for bath time, she runs around yelling "ABC's!!!" and "what's that?!?!" over and over again. She has also started singing the alphabet...minus about 20 letters. She prefers the Super Why version of the alphabet song as opposed to the standard version. If asked to sing the alphabet she'll proudly belt out "A, B, C, D, H, I, K, sing with me!" It's adorable...

Anyways. Just another quick post today...

God bless!

Tough Decisions

Sometimes we're faced with some pretty challenging decisions in our lives. How we decide to handle those decisions can affect more than just the decision maker.

I'm simply going to ask God to guide me through this...

Cuteness!

First, an update on "The New Me"...I'm still having some struggles with the whole lazy aspect of my life. I'm working on it, but it's definitely still there. This silly computer still gets the best of me some days. I have done a lot more around the house, though. It makes me feel good to get things accomplished. And the more I stay off of my computer, the more I can interact with both of my kids. Whether it's just to watch them play, take pictures, or read a book to Julia. I feel so much better if I'm able to do that.

This past weekend, we actually had some family outside play time and it was so nice! Justin is getting a kick out of the grass on his feet, and Julia loves playing with her soccer ball and bubbles. I didn't take my camera with me just because I wanted to enjoy them. I wanted to breathe my family in right along with the fresh air. It was sunny, but not too warm, so it was perfect. I even managed to get some seeds planted for the garden! I also got the hydrangeas potted that I ordered. They seem to be doing well, so that makes me happy!

Saturday night, I decided to try my hand at a picture of the moon again. Yes, I was one of those people standing out in my back yard at 9:30 at night trying to "shoot the moon" so-to-speak. I'm pretty pleased with the way the picture turned out, though!

Aaaaaaaand...here are a few pictures of the kiddos...

My beautiful baby girl...(this didn't turn out as good as I hoped)

 My handsome little dude...

And the two of them enjoying the rain today...

Bookmarks

Odd? Maybe.

I'm not talking about the good old fashioned bookmarks that are used in a real book. I'm talking about those "digital" bookmarks. I must have about 300 of them, and that's not including all of the pins I have on Pinterest.

Just an observation. How many do you have?

God bless!
