Not that I NEEDED another book...

I went to Target today with my kids and my little list of stuff that I needed. When I say little list, I mean LITTLE list. I needed kiddie toothpaste, a couple more long sleeve shirts for Julia, pajamas for both of them (if they were on sale), lamps for the living room, and a box of Cheerio's. Really, I should buy stock in Cheerio's. Anyways...I decided to look around in the toy department for a play broom for Julia, scored one for $10! Then, I remembered we were almost out of lotion for the kids. Now, neither of these were on the list, but I've wanted a broom for Julia forever, and well, we needed lotion. I then decided to meander into the "media" department and see if they had any Janet Evanovich books...specifically the Stephanie Plum books. They only had two of them; Explosive Eighteen and Love in a Nutshell. Now, I'm nowhere NEAR book eighteen yet, so I decided to skip them. Then, I walked to the next aisle, and that's where I saw it. One of the books that everyone has been raving about. And it was cheap. Like $8.74 cheap. I'm talking about The Hunger Games. I snatched it up as quick as I could! Now, when I finish the book I'm reading, I'll have to decide between the next in the series, the next Harry Potter, or do I start The Hunger Games! AAH!

Anyways. Enough of my rambling...

God bless!

Baby #3 - First Trimester Update

Well, here I sit at almost 13 weeks with baby #3. Needless to say, this pregnancy is much more difficult than the other two were. The nausea has been relentless, and though it is starting to subside a little bit, I still get hit for a day here and there. Today is one of those days. I get hungry, I eat something, I get nauseous. However...if I don't eat, I get nauseous too. So, either I starve and feel sick, or I eat and feel sick. I think I'll eat...but I'm hoping the nausea will leave me alone soon!!!

On Thursday I had my 12 week ultrasound. This particular ultrasound checks for possible markers for Downs Syndrome and Trisomy 18. I had it with both of my other babies, so I figured I would go ahead with it for this one as well. Now...had anything come back abnormal, that would NOT change my desire to have this baby. I'm not a believer in abortion, especially if it's just because the baby *might* have a marker for a certain disorder. I'll take on whatever God gives me.

Anywho...Everything is checking out great on the baby. The tech said he saw absolutely nothing out of the ordinary, and baby is measuring right on track for the due date that they gave me. Happy mama! Now, enjoy a few pics of the nugget!

Early morning giggles

Justin really is something else. He cracks me up on a regular basis. He signs to get milk, "more", and when he's "all done". Although...his sign for "all done" is closer to just flailing his arms side to side in an over-enthusiastic manner.

Just this morning, he woke up early - again - and was a fussy mess when I brought him downstairs. I got his cup of milk for him, but that just wasn't going to cut it for him. Apparently he needed a snack bowl of Cheerios to accompany his milk. As soon as that container of cereal came out of the cabinet, is face just lit up, and he did his little surprised face. I MUST get this face in a photo to share. It's just too stinking cute.

Anyways...I gave him his little bowl of Cheerios and he went back into the living room to play. Out of nowhere, he comes back into the kitchen whining with this look of "OH THE HUMANITY!!!" on his face. I look down, and he only had about 15 Cheerios left in his bowl. Apparently he couldn't get them out through the opening. (It's one of those "spill proof" snack bowls with the cut open top.) Anyways, I took the top off, handed it back to him, and he grinned just about as wide and cheesy as he could. Showing all 8 of his front teeth. He then turned around, went back into the living room and continued playing.

He cracks me up.

God bless!

Dear "abigail"

Please don't spam my blog with gibberish obscure language comments again. It's rude.

Thanks.

Labor Day - 2012

Are you ready to be bombarded with photos??? GOOD! 'Cause there will be lots of them in this post!

The last time I went to my mom (and now) step-dad's cabin, was Labor Day 2010, I rode with my sister, and took Julia with me. She was only 6 months old at the time, and it wasn't an exactly restful weekend for me. LOVED the view, the atmosphere, everything...but that little goober would NOT sleep at night!

This year, though...this year was different. When I mentioned the trip to Michael, I originally wanted the four of us to go. I know he would love it up there just as much as I do, and we're hoping to make one trip up as a family in the near future. His reaction to my suggestion was...unexpected to say the least! He said to me "Well, maybe I'll just keep the kids home, and let you go alone..." WHA??? I thought he was joking. Seriously!!! The subject came up a few more times, and I kept referring to it as "our trip". Well, one time he said "Our trip? I thought you were going alone?" I was shocked. Stoked. Excited. Nervous... Long story short, I got to go up north, away from civilization without the kids for three. whole. days. It was wonderful. My phone didn't work. I had no laptop. We watched ZERO TV. Now, that's not to say that there weren't working phones, or other techy goodies (their iPad) that could have entertained me. I managed to stay away for the most part! I actually managed to stay off the iPad until the day we left. Even then, it was just to hop on to show mom some pictures (and I responded to a message that I got), but I left all 99 Facebook notifications, and the other three messages alone. It was so nice. I was so relaxed by the end of the weekend that I almost didn't know what to do with myself. We ate well, took boat rides, my sis and I went for a walk, watched the sun set a couple of times...oh...and I got to drive a REALLY nice truck! :-) Anywho...the weekend was fabulous, and I can't wait to go back with Michael and the kids!

Ready for some pics? Ok, here you go!

The sunset on the ride up...

The view...all day...every day.

The start of one sunset.

The only firework pic I could get!

The road my sis and I walked on (well, one way...came back another way)

A cool looking tree on our walk.

Some neat dead trees in a clearing. (I was wishing I had my zoom lens right about now)

Another pretty stinkin' cool tree.

 On the lake...

 On the lake...

On the lake...I really like this one.

A sail boat on the lake...

The beginning of a gorgeous sunset.

 Gorgeous sunset continued

 Gorgeous sunset still continued

Gorgeous sunset continued...fire in the sky.

And the gorgeous sunset concluded. :-)

Hope you enjoyed them as much as I do...
God Bless!!!
